Leigh has been touring the world and elsewhere impersonating
Elvis (as the renowned Elvis Herselvis), John Travolta, Liz Taylor, Jack Nicolson,
Eydie Gorme, and Mamma Cass to name but a few. She will be playing John Goodman's Dan in
"ROSEANNE: Live on Stage" along side Heklina, D' Arcy Drollinger, Steven LeMay and many other SF legends, opening in Sept.
A fearless musician, playwright and singer by nature, trixxie writes and plays all the instruments on her own songs and performs them as theatrical pieces, mixing her talent for acting and directing together with her original music and experimentalist philosophies regarding current events, religion, politics and the meaning of life. As a faux queen*, miss trixxie carr performs solo or with dancers either lip-syncing or singing live in a mix of comedy-burlesque-performance art. Obsessed with existentialist despair yet a hopeless optimist, trixxie is never afraid to look at the subtext of our words and actions on an intimate and global level, and she attacks with wit and satire the phallacies of blind belief, while still embracing emotion and romanticism, using imagery and metaphor to connect her ideas and reach out to her audiences.

Heklina gained fame as Trannyshack’s erstwhile MC, keeping a

Main Stage, in addition to hosting numerous fundraisers for, among others,

for Good Morning America. Her film credits include the festival favorites Baby Jane?
and All About Evil. Theater credits include a starring role in the 2006 Theater
Rhino production TROG!, and producer and featured actor (in the role of Dorothy
Zbornak) in the popular San Francisco Golden Girls plays. She was voted
Community Grand Marshal of the 2004 San Francisco GLBTQ Pride Parade, and was
the subject of two documentaries in the 2005 Frameline SF Gay and Lesbian Film
Festival. In 2009 she won the Pride Creativity Award for outstanding artistic
contribution to the LGBT Community. Check her out at trannyshack.com
Monique
Jenkinson is a
performer and maker of performance whose work explores femininity,
glamour and process in theaters, nightclubs and
museums.
Her past solo shows Faux Real
and Luxury Items have played in NYC, London, New Orleans & Seattle
after sold-out local runs, and have earned her many accolades, including a 2009
GOLDIE for Performance. Her drag queen persona, Fauxnique, a
fixture on the experimental performance scene, made history by winning the Miss
Trannyshack Pageant, has appeared in numerous films, and has been profiled in San
Francisco Magazine and Bust Magazine. Fauxnique lent her voice
and face to the dance track 'Lipstique' by Sliencefiction (aka Never Knows) and
its accompanying video. As a current de Young Museum Irvine Fellow, she
curated Making Scenes, premiered Our People, and will premiere Instrument
in late Fall, which she will create at the de Young and perform at
CounterPULSE.
Monique was co-director, with Kevin
Clarke of the duo Hagen & Simone (2001-2007), is a past artist-in-residence
at ODC Theater and CounterPULSE, and a past recipient (with Keith Hennessey) of
the CHIME Grant. For more visit: www.fauxnique.net
Birdie-Bob Watt is another of those extraordinary persons
whose presence here contributes to making San Francisco the wonderful place it
is. You may have seen Birdie-Bob in nightclubs and cabarets about town,
in any of the Thrillpeddlers Cockettes musical revivals, in Tom Orr's
"Dirty Little Show Tunes", or more recently in the Thrillpeddler's
revival of "Marat/Sade". On Wednesday afternoons, you'll find
Birdie doing a cocktail waitress gig (in full face, of course) at Cafe Flore in
the Castro. Birdie loves the spirit of celebration that drag can inspire
in our mundane and ordinary moments, elevating our workaday world to
fabulosity.
Faux queen, belly dancer, editor, photographer and mother of two, Crickett Bardot has been performing in the bay area for over 15 years. From her first Tuesday night performance at Trannyshack to first runner up at at the Miss Trannyshack pageant in 2001 and winner of the faux queen pageant in 2003, Crickett has consistently remained a prevalent performer in the bay area drag scene. The thing she loves the most is incorporating all aspects of her life into her numbers. From big elaborate bollywood numbers to pregnant drag , there is nothing this queen wont try!
Within days of her first coming out into the world, Ruby met & began
a long & very FRUITful collaboration with Diet Popstitute &
KLUBSTiTUTE, which included Ruby's Rated Xmas, the Clinton Inaugural
BALLSTiTUTE (she was Hillary), The Virgin Queen Contest, Hard Cock Cafe
& many more. In 1995, she co-created (with Diet) & hosted the
1st Faux Queen Pageant & after Diet's passing, helped found the
KLUBSTiTUTE KOLLECTiVE which among other insanities, produced a total of
10 Faux Queen Pageants. In 1995 & again In 1997, she wrote &
directed Rocky Horror Superstar: the Jesus of Frankenfurter Saga in
which she also played GOD. In a previous incarnation, she spent years
doing political satire & comedy with Plutonium Players, The Reagan
for Shah Campaign & Ladies Against Women. Yea, but what's she done
lately? For some time, she's been the victim of a bad case of acute
ennui, which is not uncommon when you've been 39 for as long as she has.
She recently ended up on disability with a bad back & carpal
tunnel, no doubt from too high heels & too many hand jobs, though
all the years of working drywall probably didn't help & is looking
for a new career.
L. Ron Hubby has done a bunch of stuff, but this is the main
thing to know about her: She's always happy to receive cash bribes from
contestants. Well, not out in the open or anything, but... well, you could just
meet her behind the DNA Lounge on the day of the show, probably. If you just
happened to be there at, say, 6:00 with a suitcase full of unmarked bills. May
the most generous, er, best queen win!
Deena Davenport had graced stages across San Francisco in many drag
forms, from Lefty Fister, (Mr. Trannyshack, 2002), to winning "Best
Drag Queen" in the 1992 Gay Pride parade. (First Bio Female!) She
is now busy runner her glamour emporium; The Glama-Rama hair salon and
gallery, Deejaying on Radio Valencia and is President and founder of the
Valencia Corridor Merchants Association.
